Today marks the launch of an eerie new biome in Minecraft, generating buzz across Minecraft.net for weeks.
With the arrival of The Garden Awakens, players can now explore this mysterious biome, encounter the creaking, and unveil the secrets of the creaking heart. Build with new blocks, row in pale oak boats, enhance armor with resin, and decorate your base with hanging moss.
But first, here’s a special broadcast straight from the pale garden:
Eyeblossoms are closed during the day and open at night. They also glow once the sun goes down. The pale garden area also hides a formidable new foe you can take on called the Creaking.
The Creaking is a hostile mob that blends into the pale garden environment. Found only in this biome, it spawns at night and moves when not observed. Unlike other creatures, it can't be damaged with weapons; players must locate and destroy its creaking heart, cleverly hidden among the pale oak trees. This heart can be collected using a Silk Touch enchantment and can even spawn more Creakings in different locations. Beware—multiple Creakings may be present after dark!
Players can now access new pale wood blocks and items crafted from pale oak trees, which require unique planting techniques to grow.The highlight is the full pale oak wood set, which includes all the following items:
Another new block family is the resin set, featuring shiny bright orange blocks crafted from resin clumps. These blocks are primarily found in the pale garden biome, but they can also occasionally be found in Woodland Mansion chests.
