Valve confirmed this in an update on December 14, 2023, when developers revealed the new design for the 2024 Service Medal. In the update that happened on December 14, 2023, Valve added the 2024 Service Medal to CS2, among other improvements. This means that starting from January 1, 2024, you can redeem your level to claim (or upgrade) your Service Medal to 2024. Remember that you will have to be Global General Rank 40 to claim the 2024 Service Medal. Follow these steps to claim the Service Medal in CS2:
The Service Medals were added in 2015 along with Operation Bloodhound as part of the Profile Rank. Players need to reach Rank level 40 to be able to get this badge. After you get the medal for the current year, every time you reach Rank level 40 you will have the option to redeem the collected level to upgrade the color of the Service Medal. This can be done up to six times. Every year on January 1, the design for the Service Medal changes making every medal unique.Â
