Diablo 4 Season 1 had a mechanic called Malignant Hearts , that acted similar to Gems, ie, you put them into sockets for additional effects. They granted unique bonuses and abilities that players quite enjoyed. And with that in mind, Blizzard announced the Malignant Rings.
Malignant Rings are a new type of Ancestral Unique Rings, coming with Patch 1.2.2. on November 7. They are based on popular powers from Season of the Malignant , with one for each Class, and will be available on both Seasonal and Eternal Realms. It appears that the community really liked those Malignant Powers so these Rings are here to stay. It is quite a good move from the developers, as they brought a new mechanic, tested it out in the form of temporary Seasonal Content, saw what the players really liked, and decided to bring it back and fully implement it in the game. There are five Malignant Rings in Diablo 4, one for each Class . Each is based on a popular Malignant Power from Season 1, now updated and re-balanced. These Rings will drop from a new endgame Boss Varshan the Consumed. And now, here is the list.
