Knowing the location of your enemies in Fortnite is not just an advantage in combat. In Chapter 4: Season 3, there is a challenge during Week 3 in which you have to reveal enemy players or characters 10 times. If you can manage to beat this challenge, you’ll be awarded bonus XP, which will help you progress on the Battle Pass track. But even without that, it’s pretty good to know how to reveal your enemies for tactical advantage. Here are all the methods you can use to reveal opponents in Fortnite.
Currently, there are four different ways to reveal enemies in Fortnite. These methods are:
If you shoot an enemy with the Exotic Shadow Tracker pistol , they will be highlighted and revealed for you. You can obtain the pistol from the NPC Peely , found in the northern part of the jungle north of Shady Stilts . You have to exchange 400 Bars to get it.
If you manage to get a Flare Gun as loot or in chests, you can use it to tag enemies with it. Firing a flare slightly above an enemy or group of enemies will reveal them upon bursting. This is the important part — try not to aim too low, because then the flare might not burst.
If you’re able to get it in a match, you can use the Bloodhound augment . It will reveal any enemies you shoot with an assault rifle or a sniper . This can be a quick way to complete the challenge if you’re lucky enough to get the augment.
A surefire way to reveal opponents is to claim a Capture Point . When you raise the flag, the entire location is pinged to reveal all characters and chests. Of course, you have to be lucky enough for anyone to be present there. Or, you can go to a point with NPC near them, such as Breakwater Bay , Brutal Bastion , Frenzy Fields , or Slappy Shores .
