Because the sequel costs almost double the price of the first game, it would be great to pick it up at a discount.

It’s a game that you’ve heard about ad nauseam even if you’re not interested in the genre. So if it’s discounted, there really is no excuse not to have it in your collection.
Age of Wonders is a 4X fantasy strategy franchise that hadn’t had a good track record for a while. Then Age of Wonders 4 was released and completely revitalized not only its own franchise but the genre in general. If you suffer from the “just one more turn” syndrome, it will make you lose countless hours. If only the price tag wasn’t so steep, but that’s why we hope it gets a discount.
