The first character that has been confirmed is, of course, Gollum . Making his first movie appearance in The Hobbit and appearing in a bunch of Lord Of The Ring related media since Gollum has become one of the most recognizable characters of the franchise. If not his appearance, then people surely recognize his infamous “My precious” line.
Sméagol is the other personality of Gollum who makes for a social and understandable balance to the otherwise borderline insane Gollum. Throughout the game, we’ll be hearing a lot of him and it’ll be up to us to decide whether or not we want to listen to what he has to say.
Every Lord Of The Ring fan knows about Gandalf The Grey, so he doesn’t really need much of an introduction. His first appearance was in 1937 The Hobbit, and he has since become a staple of the series.
Now, although Thranduil will be a pretty much unknown character to fans of the movies, those who have read the novels might recognize him as the king of the elves of Mirkwood.
If you’ve watched The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, then chances are you recall the Mouth of Sauron. No, we don’t mean the literal mouth of Sauron, but his most loyal servant who has forgotten his real name in service of his master.
Here’s a character who made an appearance in both the books as well as the movies. Although Shelob’s first book appearance was in The Two Towers, her first movie appearance was in The Return of The King.
