Call of Duty is one of the most storied franchises in all of gaming, starting in 2003 with its original WWII title. The most recent Call of Duty title is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II . This game is a reboot of 2009’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare II features several characters that starred in the 2009 version , most notably SAS Captain John Price, Lieutenant Simon “Ghost” Riley, and Sergeant John “Soap” MacTavish. Modern Warfare II also mirrors its predecessor by taking place in the current day, although the stories are very different otherwise.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare II includes two new game modes, Warzone 2.0 and DMZ. Warzone 2.0 has you fighting to be the last man standing on an ever-shrinking map, competing for resources to give yourself the best chance of victory. DMZ is a PvPvE game mode where you fight to collect the best gear and extract it from the map. Failure to do so will result in you losing all the gear you came in with, making for a very high-risk, high-reward game mode.
There are reports that the next Call of Duty will be an extension of MW2. What started from DLC allegedly has expanded to a full release. So either we receive another MW2 part this year or move to MW3 next year.
We can reasonably assume the next title may be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III . As the current series mirrors the 2007 to 2011 Modern Warfare series with three titles, there will be a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III for the current set of games.
The previous title in the Call of Duty series was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare . This title heralded the reboot of the much-loved Modern Warfare series, as well as introduced us to Warzone , Call of Duty’s take on the battle royale genre.
