One of the most creative ones is probably the fuse technique. However, you donât have this ability unlocked from the get-go, and have to do something to get it.
What is that something you have to do if you want to unlock the fuse ability in Tears of the Kingdom? Well, thatâs exactly what weâre here to tell you.
To get the fuse ability in Tears of the Kingdom, you have to first complete the first shrine in the game on the Great Sky Island. When you do, simply head on over to the second shrine and walk in where youâll be given the fuse ability.
The Closed Door quest at the very start of the game has you clear a series of shrines. In the very first shrine, you would have gotten the Ultrahand ability simply by walking in. Well, the same thing applies to the second shrine as well.
Once you complete the first shrine, go to the In-Isa Shrine shrine which can be found in the Southwestern portion of the map. Just like how it was with the first shrine, youâll have to interact with it if you want access to it. When you do enter it, youâll find that Rauru will be there waiting for you. Not only will the Sage of Light give you some much valuable information, but he will also give you the Fuse ability.
Now that you have the fuse ability unlocked, how about giving you a rundown of how you can use this ability? As the name suggests, you are able to fuse together two items when you activate this ability to create a whole new item.
To be more specific, it allows you to combine weapons, shields , and arrows with inanimate objects like rocks to create specialized weapons. Not only are these fused weapons sturdier than the base weapons in terms of durability, but they also deal much more damage than their basic counterparts.
For example, say that you have a tree branch with you, and you come across a big rock. By using the fuse ability, itâll be possible to combine the two items to create a hammer thatâll have much more durability and deal much more damage than a regular tree branch would have.
To use the fuse ability, you first have to equip the weapon you want to fuse all the while ensuring that the inanimate object you want to fuse with the weapon is on the ground near you. If itâs in your inventory, then you can simply hold the item from your inventory and then drop it.
With the weapon equipped and the object dropped near you, you have to hold the left bumper (L) and select the fuse ability. Select the object you want to fuse the weapon with and voila!
