We’ve all heard of Amazon fulfillment centers, but you might not be as familiar with Amazon sort centers. Think of sort centers as way stations between Amazon Fulfillment Centers and the customers who receive your products. Sort centers are usually located in commercial hubs near where a large cluster of consumers live, such as near Atlanta or Chicago. Amazon implemented this distribution system to try and avoid shipping delays.
The very best thing about them, in my opinion, is that Amazon Sort Centers do not create sales tax nexus for FBA sellers (though this is slightly less relevant to know now that Amazon collects on behalf of most 3rd party sellers ).
