Using a food thermometer is the safest, most reliable way to check the internal temperature of your food. Why is that important? FoodSafety.gov says cooked food need to be heated to a “high enough temperature to kill harmful bacteria that cause foodborne illness.” We’re fairly certain that everyone would like to avoid a round of food poisoning!
