California law requires that we provide you this notice about the collection and use of your personal information.

This notice (“ Notice ”) describes the categories of personal information that Olo Inc. (“ Company ”, “ we ”, “ us ” and “ our ”) collects about California residents who apply for positions with the Company, and the purposes for which we use that information
For purposes of this Notice, “ personal information ” has the meaning given in the California Consumer Privacy Act (the “ CCPA ”) but excludes information exempted from the CCPA’s scope.

If you accept an offer from us, your personal information will be incorporated into and used as part of your employee record, as described in our Privacy Notice for California Employees, which you will receive as part of the on-boarding process.
We collect personal information that you provide when you apply for a job. You provide this information voluntarily, and you determine whether and what information you will provide us. However, some information is required to assess your application, and without it we may have only a limited ability to evaluate you as a candidate. These categories of personal information include:
We also collect personal information from other sources where relevant for your application, such as employment research firms, recruiters, identity verification services, and information that you make publicly available on websites or social media platforms (for example, LinkedIn). In some circumstances (if permitted by applicable law), we may need to perform a background check relevant to your job, in which case we would receive the results of the background check from the provider. If we do so, we will provide you with notice regarding this use when we collect your personal information and your consent to the background check will be sought at that time.
Throughout the recruitment process, we may supplement your personal information in connection with the assessment of your application. For example, we may record the views of those considering your application about your suitability for the role for which you have applied and retain interview notes.

Your personal information may be disclosed to our HR and administration functions for recruitment, administrative, and management purposes as described in this Notice.
We may share your personal information with recruitment service providers, hosting, cloud, and other IT services providers. We require that these service providers protect your personal information and use the data solely to provide the services to us for the operational purpose for which we share it with them.
Unaffiliated entities for our business purposes:
We may share your personal information with unaffiliated entities, for example in the context of the possible sale or restructuring of the business, or to relevant unaffiliated entities such as auditors, lawyers or professional advisors, our insurers.
We may also disclose your personal information to comply with a subpoena, bankruptcy proceedings, or similar legal process, or in response to lawful requests by public authorities, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect our property or rights, or those of you or unaffiliated entities, or the public at large.
We have put in place security measures designed to prevent your personal information from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal information to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know and are subject to confidentiality obligations.

Authorized agents will need to confirm their identity and authority, in accordance with the CCPA. You are entitled to exercise the rights described above free from discrimination.
Please note that your ability to invoke the rights above are limited pursuant to the scope and limitations of the CCPA, including any available exceptions. For example, an access request can only be made twice within a 12-month period, and certain federal regulations mandate minimum recordkeeping periods of applicant and employee data.

We may update this Notice at any time, and we will provide you with a new privacy notice by email where required by law when we make any substantial updates.
