Make Democracy Work!
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan , grassroots organization working to protect and expand voting rights and ensure everyone is represented in our democracy. We empower voters and defend democracy through advocacy , education , and litigation , at the local, state, and national levels.

Tuesday, September 29th, at 6:30 (doors open at 6:00), at the Oldemeyer Center in Seaside, a Candidates Forum for the Seaside Mayor and City Council will be held. This event is co-sponsored by Sustainable Seaside.

Wednesday, October 7th, from 6:00-8:30 pm at the Hartnell College Steinbeck Hall, Student Center, Bldg. C, a Candidates Forum for the Salinas Mayor and City Council will be held.
The Monterey County LWV will sponsor a presentation, The Pros and Cons of the 14 Statewide Ballots, on October 7, from 7pm to 9pm.
The Monterey County LWV and Canterbury W oods will sponsor a presentation, The Pros and Cons of the 14 Statewide Ballots, on October 8, from 10:30 to 12:30, in Pacific Grove.
