This course addresses the knowledge required by flight operations officers and flight dispatchers to ensure the safe transport of dangerous goods by air.
In accordance with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)âs competency-based approach to dangerous goods training, which came into effect on 1 January 2023, those involved in the transport of dangerous goods by air are required to be a) trained and b) assessed to demonstrate their competence to perform the function(s) for which they are responsible.
After completing the course, participants must follow their organizationâs procedures for completing a competency-based assessment.
