Once you've completed a quiz, QuizWhiz can generate a follow-up quiz built from your results instead of starting from scratch. There are two kinds:
Both are new quizzes based on the one you just took — they don't replace or edit the original.
After you finish an attempt, QuizWhiz analyzes your answers and extracts a set of skills from the question content (things like "Photosynthesis Process" or "Application of Newton's Laws" rather than question formats like "Multiple Choice"). Each skill gets a percentage score based on how you did on the questions that test it. Any skill scoring below 70% counts as a weak area.
That skill breakdown is what a Focused Quiz reads from. The skills are set on your first attempt and reused on later attempts of the same quiz, so your percentages update as you retake it rather than being recalculated from nothing each time.
You'll find "Generate Focused Quiz" in two places:
Before it will run, the quiz needs at least one completed attempt, and your last score has to be below 100% — if you already aced it, there's nothing to focus on and QuizWhiz will point you toward a Level Up Quiz instead.
When you click through, a dialog lets you toggle whether the AI can pull in outside knowledge or stick strictly to your original source material, then generates the quiz. It builds the new quiz around your weak skills specifically, using roughly half as many questions as the original (with a minimum of five), scaled based on how many weak areas were found and how far below 100% you scored — a couple of small misses generates a short quiz, while a rough attempt generates a longer one, up to the size of the original.
"Generate Level Up Quiz" sits next to the Focused option — on the quiz page (labeled ADVANCED) and, on the results page, in the same "What's Next?" prompt once you score 80% or higher on a standard quiz. Unlike Focused, there's no attempt or score requirement to unlock it.
A Level Up Quiz matches the original quiz's question count and mix of question types, but the questions themselves are written to demand more: deeper conceptual understanding rather than recall, applying ideas to new scenarios, connecting multiple concepts, and evaluating rather than just identifying. The same source-material toggle is available here too.
Both only generate from a standard quiz — you can't chain a Focused Quiz off another Focused, Level Up, or Bonfire quiz. The new quiz shows a "Focused" or "Level Up" badge and links back to the original so you can always find your way back.
Generating either type costs credits, using the same pricing as generating any new quiz — based on the length of your source material and the number of questions produced. A Focused Quiz is usually cheaper than the original since it generates fewer questions; a Level Up Quiz costs about the same as regenerating the original, since it produces the same number.
Free-plan accounts get one Focused Quiz and one Level Up Quiz per week — hitting the limit shows an upgrade prompt rather than a credit charge. Paid plans have no weekly cap; generation is limited only by your credit balance. You can manage your plan from your subscription page .
