QuizWhiz hosts practice tests for standardized exams, admissions tests, AP subjects, nursing exams, and IT/professional certifications - hundreds of them, each with its own page. This guide covers how a test page works, the two ways you can take a test, how scoring works, and what changes if you're signed in versus using it anonymously.
These are practice materials only. Every test page carries a disclaimer that QuizWhiz isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the official test makers, and practice tests aren't a substitute for official study materials.
Some exams are broken into sections that each get their own page - for example ACT Practice Test and TEAS Practice Test are umbrella pages that link out to a page per section (English, Math, Reading, Science, and so on). Others, like SAT Math Practice Test or AP Biology Practice Test , are a single page with one set of questions. Either way, you land on a page for one specific section of questions, with the question count and time limit shown before you start.
Every test page gives you a choice between two modes:
Pick one and click Start Test to begin. You move through questions one at a time, and your answers save automatically as you go - if a save fails, you'll see a status indicator, and QuizWhiz retries it before you submit so nothing gets silently dropped.
Nothing is graded question-by-question while you're taking the test. When you submit, QuizWhiz grades every question at once and takes you straight to a results page - there's no waiting or processing delay.
The results page shows:
From the results page you can retake the test (which starts a fresh attempt) or go back to the list of all practice tests.
You can take a practice test - start it, answer every question, submit it, and see your full results with explanations - without signing in. QuizWhiz tracks anonymous attempts using a browser fingerprint rather than a login, so nothing about the core experience is locked behind an account.
Signing in adds two things:
Practice tests use a fixed, pre-built question bank for a specific exam, so the questions are the same for everyone taking that test. The two use different results pages and aren't mixed together.
