"Smarty and the Rainbow Treasure is the final (book 4), in the 'Smarty Pants the Fox' series. This adventure finds Smarty following strange signs in the forest. He discovers new lands in the South West of Australia as he chases a treasure he believes is hidden at the base of a magnificent rainbow he saw in the hills surrounding the Secret Valley. Smarty gets totally lost in the forest as he searches for the rainbow treasure. Eventually, he emerges from the bush at a beautiful beach on the coast, where he quickly learns to surf with the dolphins. Luckily for Smarty, he escapes the jaws of a great white shark as he surfs into the shore. Retracing his steps through the forest, he somehow stumbles back to the Secret Valley where, upon reflection, he realises that the real treasure is not the imaginary riches at the bottom of the rainbow but, his beautiful home in the Secret Valley surrounded by loving friends. This audiobook story is written for children 3-6 years of age and was written as a bedtime story, but also serves as a great travel companion for young children. "This book is the first in a series of 4 relatively short children's bedtime stories featuring Smarty Pants the Fox. Always getting himself out of tricky situations, Smarty is a cheeky, cool, adolescent fox living in a Secret Valley near Donnybrook, in the South West of Australia. With authentic sound effects for added interest and excitement, this book is narrated by the author. Smarty is so clever he can talk, stand, read, sing, play guitar, surf and even swim. In this book The Great Journey, Smarty finds some unusual round rocks under the roots of a tree which has been hit by lightning in a wild storm. Smarty wonders how the washed round rocks under the tree got to the top of a hill and, why was blue grass growing near the uprooted tree. Later, Smarty falls into a flooding creek where he is swept all the way to the Indian Ocean before finally climbing an anchor chain to board a ship which takes him to Africa. In this amazing adventure, the ship begins to sink in a violent storm and, as the captain and crew abandon the vessel, Smarty is washed overboard. Luckily, he finds a log to cling to, and is eventually washed up on an island. Here, Smarty meets the last surviving giant Dodo bird who happens to be eating blue grass. When Smarty discovers the secret of the blue grass, he hatches a plan to save the Dodo bird from loneliness. Late at night, the two of them sneak onto another ship going back to Australia, where the Dodo bird lives happily ever after in the Secret Valley with Smarty and all the other Australian animals."

"This bedtime children's story, subtitled Smarty Joins the Circus ... is book 2, in a 4 part series titled Smarty Pants the Fox. The books in this series are also designed to be great company for your child while you are busy driving, providing a perfect listening focus. This adventure sees Smarty leave his Secret Valley in the South West of Australia, exploring the nearby town of Donnybrook to investigate a big new circus tent which has been erected on the town oval. Smarty encounters exotic animals including a lion, a tiger, an elephant and a huge reticulated python. The lion and the python try to eat Smarty but, as always, our clever hero escapes and while running away, inadvertantly finds himself in the main circus arena, inside the massive tent. Here, in front of 500 people, Smarty performs tricks while riding on an elephant, then flys high above the crowd on a trapeze before dramatically falling, saved only by landing in a bucket of water. While his Mum and Dad watch the circus clowns with all the other onlookers, Smarty hatches a plan to release all the animals. Later that night, when everyone has left the circus, Smarty quietly sets all the animals free ... then leads them along the Noneycup Creek, all the way to the Secret Valley, where they live happily ever after. As with Book 1 (The Great Journey) in the Smarty Pants the Fox series, this bedtime story also features authentic Australian animal / bush sounds to give added interest and drama for the listener."
