Shortlisted for the Branford Boase Award 2006.
It all starts in the classroom with a giant fart but sixteen year old Connor’s life then leads to somewhere far more sinister when he finds himself in the Corridor of Uncertainty, waiting for Sentence after having been run over by an ice cream van. Suddenly, all Connor’s past misdemeanours are held up against him and he’s off to ‘a place of torment’.
But Hell is not at all as Connor has expected which makes him realise that if this isn’t his Hell, then there might be someone in Heaven who is willing to swap. Connor’s adventures in other worlds is an unrestrained fantasy which questions expectations. Contains some strong language that readers may find offensive (15+)
Sent to Hell for teenage misdemeanours, Conor is surprised to find that it's not all pitchforks and leaping flames. Then Conor realizes that his personal version of Hell might be someone else's idea of Heaven - and vice versa. Accompanied by his repulsive pet dog and other characters, he sets out on a journey to search for his opposite number.
