Food is such an important part of family life, and this attractive book is a lovely way to teach children new words, and for them to learn about what we eat. Each page has a different theme – a colourful spread of fruit is followed by a page of vegetables, rows of greenery suddenly brightened by a purple aubergine, or bright red tomato.
Root vegetables are shown growing in the ground, so that children will think about where food comes from; similarly a label next to the sausages and bacon shows a pig.
