A charming rhyming story about a well-meaning horse whose change in feed leads to disastrous, smelly, and hilarious consequences…
Colin has always worked very hard at the farm, ploughing the fields and eating lots of hay to provide manure for the field. But when he tries the feed from the pigs, the cows and the chickens, his manure may help grow fantastic vegetables but also creates a stink that creates a national emergency… With hilarious rhyme, cheeky humour and side splitting illustrations from Tor Freeman, this is the perfect read for music and animal loving children.
Colin was a cart horse, Hay his favourite treat. It was ever so soft and incredibly sweet. But the day he branched out and broadened his diet...Why, who could have guessed it would trigger a riot?

Gavin Puckett, Welsh comic extraordinaire, brings us another wonderful tale of rhyming fun and nonsense, in the very best tradition of Edward Lear and Hilaire Belloc.
Gavin Puckett lives in South Wales with his wife, his young son and their cat, George. He spends his days working as a school liaison officer with the police and won the Greenhouse Funny Prize in 2013 with his debut book, Murray the Horse.
He has since gone on to write more horsey adventures as part of a humorous rhyming series called ‘Fables from the Stables.’ When he’s not writing, he spends most of his time thinking of things to write, taking penalty shots against his football-mad son and spelling his last name to people. His favourite word is bibliobibuli and he was once bitten by a squirrel when he was twelve.
