Amy Wilson has a background in journalism and lives in Bristol with her young family. This is a great, magical adventure, and a story about friendship and forgiveness. I would recommend this book to my friends, and we will be buying copies to share.
Snowglobe is about a girl called Clementine, whose magical mother went missing ten years ago when Clementine was a baby. One day an odd, half-invisible house appears in town and Clementine goes in. She finds that Ganymede, her secret aunt, is the owner and that she traps magicians inside snowglobes. She has trapped one of Clementine’s friends (called Dylan).
Clementine goes into the trap herself to save him, and finds that the snowglobes are ruled by another aunt, Io. Clementine starts to wonder if this is where her mother is.
This is a great, magical adventure. I really liked the characters. My favourite characters are not just the "good" people but also the evil aunts who aren't actually that evil but don't understand normal life.... Read Full Review
