This is a superb well written in simple language for young children and superbly illustrated with a lovely drawing that will appeal to youngsters. This is a small book covering a large range of everyday topics that are currently occurring every day. The author has written about dealing with death, deforestation, extinction of animals and other similar topics in a first-class way that can allow grown-up to approach the subjects with a child with a positive perspective instead of the difficulty of explaining the sad things in life that some grown-ups may feel difficult to approach.
A great book for children who are both dealing and not dealing with the topics covered in the book and allow youngsters and grown up to be able to discuss the topics openly Superb book and expertly written.

Had I still been teaching, I should have ensured that it was in our school library and used with KS 1 children in R.E. and PHSCE lessons.
Having previously reviewed this delightful book, I welcomed another opportunity to appreciate all that is good about it. The illustrations are delightfully childlike, I like the font, the characters are very appealing, the theme is dealt with in an age-appropriate, positive and sensitive way and there is so much to explore in the multilayered text. Had I still been teaching, I should have ensured that it was in our school library and used with KS 1 children in R.E. and PHSCE lessons. In 'Taba Tiger and God's Garden', the young reader has two books in one. On one hand, it is an impassioned plea for the preservation of the environment and the creatures who rely on it. On the other, we have a beautiful description of God's garden, where those who have lived 'in the way everyone should' go after this life, according to the scriptures of five of the world's major faiths. But are they really such different topics...surely any creature that becomes extinct is to be mourned, just as a friend or relative would be, for we are all interconnected. And how reassuring that all creatures are welcome in God's garden, as very often a chid's first experience of death will be that of a family pet.... Read Full Review
