Rosie Raja is an Indian princess but has just moved to England with her English father after her mother died. Bored, lonely and missing her family, she spies on one of her father’s meetings and discovers that he is a member of Churchill’s Special Operations Executive. Determined not to be left alone again, she follows him to occupied France, stowing away in his plane.
Soon she is undertaking spy missions herself, despite her father’s determination that children should be kept out of war.
Rosie’s adventures are tense, edge of the seat stuff, and readers are made fully aware of the terrible danger faced by spies and the resistance in France, while the more Rosie learns about war and the way the world is run, the more she understands the stance her ‘rebel’ aunt is taking in India.

July, 1941. Rosina Raja is half-Indian and half-English. She has always lived in India, so when her mother passes away and she moves to England (where it rains all the time) she is miserable and doesn't have any friends. Life changes dramatically for Rosie when she discovers that her army captain father is actually a spy for the British government. She can't bear to be left behind so she stows away in his plane.
Finding herself in occupied France, Rosie is soon drawn into the struggle against the Nazis. With new allies and new enemies at every turn, she must help her father complete his mission, and more importantly... make sure they both get home alive.

Sufiya Ahmed was born in India and arrived in the UK as a baby. She lived in Bolton, Lancashire, before moving to London where she still lives. Sufiya has worked in advertising and in the House of Commons, but is now a full-time author.
In 2010 Sufiya set up the BIBI Foundation, a non-profit organisation, to arrange visits to the Houses of Parliament for diverse and underprivileged school children.
