Best friends Knutz and Boltz the (talking) dog are horrified when their favourite vlogger aka the Sorcerer of Science is taken prisoner by someone calling themselves Dr Chaos.

Working out the whereabouts of the Mansion of Mayhem from co-ordinates she’s managed to tap out while tied up is the first of many puzzles they have to solve. Readers get to pit their wits against Dr Chaos too in the different STEAM-themed challenges that must be overcome to reach the kidnapped scientist. Knutz and Boltz make great companions along the way and the story is every bit as satisfying to read as the puzzles are to solve.
If you’re baffled by any of the puzzles, the answers are all at the back of the book with encouragement to have a peek and then work out who you could have got to the solution yourself. His books have been translated into over 30 languages and he has won awards in the UK and Germany, including the Manchester Fiction C ity award and the Lincolnshire Young People's Book Award.
