This is a testament to resilience and a heartfelt exploration of identity and self-acceptance that will undoubtedly strike a chord with young women grappling with what it’s like to be a girl in today's world.
The book is a page-turning read, but doesn't shy from honestly and realistically exploring important subjects such as toxic relationships, consent, trauma, misogyny, emotional abuse and the pain of broken friendships. Even the enjoyable romantic subplot sensitively explores the challenges of forming any sort of relationship after surviving sexual assault.
