It’s impossible to avoid news of wars at the moment, sadly, and this very accessible, thoughtful book will help adults answer the questions young children will be asking, from why do wars happen, to are there ways to avoid wars, to what can I do to help make the world more peaceful.
Questions are posed on colour double pages, each one dedicated to one main question, eg. what’s it like to live in a war, and answers are provided under flaps for children to lift. This gives them a sense of control, while the answers given are sensitive, age-appropriate and always clear and honest.

Katie Daynes Katie has been writing non-fiction children's books for almost half her life and loves questioning the world from a child's point of view. When she's not writing, she likes drinking coffee, walking on the moors and playing competitive board games with her children.
