Funny, thought-provoking and wonderfully unique, this is a joyous mix of poetry and facts for all curious minds. Many questions are ones I’d never even thought to ask before, but I certainly enjoyed learning the answers.
Bilston employs a range of poetic styles, demonstrating why he is such a loved and admired poet. Personal favourites include the shape power “What is the Difference Between A Stalactite and a Stalagmite?” which I am quietly confident will help me to remember an answer I have struggled with for decades, and the appropriately buzzy “How Does A Honeybee Build Its Hive?”. Each poem is accompanied by a paragraph of information text which provides further information in answer to the question posed.
In addition, each poem is enhanced by Joe Berger’s bright and entertaining illustrations. With playful skill Berger uses different layouts and styles to make each page distinctive and fun to explore.

A book chock full of hilarious poems, including how Unicorns can convince people they are real!
This book was hilarious! There are loads of questions about different things that happen in day-to-day life - for example nightmares - and each one is answered with a poem which has a funny twist at the end. My favourite was 'Are unicorns real?' in which the unicorns come together to decide what to do about the humans not believing in them. When one of them suggests going outside and showing themselves to the humans, another unicorn asks if they remember what happened to their friend the dodo?!
I recommend this book for all readers who enjoy comedy or are very curious.... Read Full Review

This imaginative poetry book, with creative layouts and vibrant illustrations, answers 100 curious questions. Fun, engaging, and unique, it’s loved across generations—an ideal Christmas gift for children and adults alike.
This book is great. It's fun and interesting and I love the illustrations too. It's not like any other poem book that I have read with my children before, which is why I probably like it so much! I also really like the layout of the pages, with poems written on the side and in the drawings. It certainly feels like this book has been well thought through. Poems are based on 100 questions with the answer written within the poem. Questions like: What is a primary colour? Why does my heart beat? Which sport was played on the moon?What are animals without a backbone called? The questions are really varied and all come with really fun, bright illustrations.
