It’s a fine morning in the forest and Moose decides to take his watercolours and easel for a day of painting. Meanwhile, on the other side of the lake, Bear decides to take advantage of the sunshine and go fishing, packing everything he needs including his favourite baked bean sandwiches.
Their peaceful day is interrupted when Bear’s fishing line accidentally gets tangled in Moose’s antlers. They’re about to launch into an angry argument when something happens that sets both laughing. You’ll need to read the book to discover what that is, but it has quite a lot to do with Bear’s sandwiches …
The story is bound to set young readers laughing delightedly too and every bit as loud as Bear and Moose.
Adult readers will appreciate Justin Worsley’s vibrant, detailed, painterly illustrations and the skilful way they create such an attractive world and convey so much humour.
