Dive into a world of eco-friendly fun and family adventures in Joanne O'Connell's delightful debut, Beauty and the Bin !
Laurie's home-made beauty recipes are no secret. The real secret? Her eco-warrior family sources their ingredients from the bin.
While Laurie loves her quirky family and their mission to make the world a greener place, one home-made bath bomb at a time, she yearns for a slice of normalcy. Fishing her food out of the bin? Not so appealing when all she wants is to enjoy a hot chocolate with her friends after school like any other kid.
But when a 'Business with a Difference' competition arrives at her school and the most popular girl wants to team up to sell Laurie's lotions and potions, it seems like a dream come true. Can Laurie find success and popularity without losing sight of her true self and values?
Packed with fabulous DIY beauty recipes, Beauty and the Bin is a must-read for budding environmentalists and eco-warriors looking for a fresh, funny take on sustainability and staying true to yourself.
