February 2013 Book of the Month Award-winning Sally Gardner has written a deliciously topsy-turvy story as Wings & Co, a rather special fairy detective agency, gets on the case. When Sir Walter Cross, a man of remarkably regular habits, does something totally remarkable and unusual, Wings & Co begin an investigation.
When two further completely unexpected events occur, the agency concludes that magic must be involved. Charming and funny, this is an imaginative delight. David Roberts’s illustrations capture it perfectly.
At the Wings & Co. Fairy Detective Agency, Emily Vole and her friends are beginning to worry. It's five months since their official opening and they still haven't had one case.
