Combining elements of Jules Verne with the action-packed adventures of Indiana Jones; this debut novel from Sharon Gosling is a gripping read. Set in Victorian London, circus trapeze artiste Remy leads a double life as a jewel thief. However she is a mysterious character who is not what she seems. Teaming up with a disparate and ill-matched group of characters the race is on to steal a precious diamond from the Tower of London and thwart the master of disguise, Lord Abernathy.
Combining mystery and adventure with a blossoming love story, this is a story which delivers twists and turns, excitement, believable characters and a vivid impression of life in and below the streets of Victorian London.
No one performs on the circus trapeze like sixteen-year-old Remy Brunel. But Remy also leads another life, as a cat burglar and jewel thief. Forced by the evil circus owner Gustave to attempt the theft of one of the world's most valuable diamonds, Remy thinks it will be just another heist, but when she meets determined young detective Thaddeus Rec, her life changes forever. Will Thaddeus manage to rescue the jewel? Or is it really Remy that he needs to save?
Sharon Gosling began her career in entertainmentjournalism, writing for magazines in the science fiction and fantasy genre, before moving on to write tie-in books for TV shows such as Stargate and the ‘reimagined’ Battlestar Galactica.
