His books have won many prestigious prizes and awards across the world, from the Ezra Jack Keats New Illustrator Award to The Irish Children's Book of the Year, and have been published into thirty different languages.
He has also won the 2011 Marion Vannett Ridgway Award, Dutch Picture Book of the Year and was named one of the Booktrust's Best New Illustrators 2011. Originally from Dublin, Chris Haughton now lives in London.
