It’s 1st January and he’s decided to go green – and this is his diary to prove it! The year starts well: he learns to grow food, recycle rubbish, look after wildlife. It all seems to be going according to plan … With the help of Adi and some friends, Spud is determined to give it all he’s got, no matter what goes wrong!
This is a virtually edible book! It’s made of recycled paper and printed using vegetable inks, making it is as green as you can get. (We wanted to use elephant dung paper – but it turns out there is a world shortage of the dung. Honestly :)
Giles Thaxton , 29, lives on a big, old wooden boat in Wales. He is really quite green, but any further resemblance to Spud is purely coincidental. With a degree in Engineering, Design and Appropriate Technology from Warwick university he went on to work at the Centre for Alternative Technology in Mid-Wales. He now works as a carpenter in the same area. Giles plays the guitar in a band called Big Bunda and is into his black and white photography.
