We have been recommending children's books to readers since 2005, and a steady share of what reaches us now comes from authors who published themselves. Children's books are the hardest kind to produce well: illustrated spreads, picture-book layouts and large-print text are where self-published files break once they reach Amazon, and a broken interior loses a reader who was already willing.
A review only does its job if the book behind it holds up. The two things that most often let an indie title down are an interior that falls apart on Kindle and a launch week with nothing behind it. Both are solvable, and neither costs what authors expect.

Reviews are what turn a finished book into a book people can find. LoveReading4Kids has named editorial experts reviewing across every genre, and a Reader Review Panel of 900 readers sent books before publication who write honestly about them.
None of that requires a publisher. All of it requires deciding the book is finished only when the production is finished too.
