Upsize your trail experience with the Kanyon from FTX. This XL sized 1:10 scale vehicle is perfect for tackling any adventure you throw at it over varied terrain. Multi-link suspension featuring adjustable oil filled shock absorbers, provide excellent articulation to help you manage the rough stuff. The high torque 60T brushed motor drives a rugged, all metal output pinion, crown and transmission gears for extra reliability. Front universal CVA driveshafts and centre telescopic sliding shafts keep the power connected to all wheels through high clearance front and rear locked axles. The Kanyon’s off road inspired semi-scale bodyshell features a number of additional moulded accessories such as wheel arches, luggage tray, roll cage, front grill and head, tail and spotlights. To wrap things up 13 factory installed LED lamps provide the necessary illumination for you to keep your rig on the trail long after the sun goes down. Aluminium front and rear bumper and body mounts provide a wide selection of optional positioning for possible aftermarket options. Supersoft aggressive lug pattern tyres are mounted to scale style wheels for a realistic finish. With a blend of semi-scale looks, reliable chassis platform and over 10% bigger size than most trail crawlers, the FTX Kanyon is the perfect choice for first time modeller’s simply after some outdoor fun! My first purchase from Modelsport, I've since ordered more :D Id wanted to try rock crawling and after looking around i decided on the Ftx kanyon. I am extremely impressed with this RTR piece of kit. Definitely an absolute bargain for the quality of machine received. Oil shock absorbers, Fully adjustable springs, 10kg servo is a beast. i love it. Also would like to give a shout out to the Modelsport team. The customer service is the best I've ever received and the speed of delivery is impeccable. My wife thinks it is funny how slow this is... Ive tried to tell her its not about how slow it is, its how cool it looks whilst its doing it It looks awesome, for the price I have no complaints whatsoever. Good chill fun with this.
An impressive big piece of kit did a few of the modifications that are on Google ie chassis strengthen etc. I suppose another big hit from FTX at a fabulous price well worth the purchase from Modelsport with a quick turn around. Ours has been run and run for hours and not yet disappointed us. Only critisism is I reckon the front is a bit light when going up steep inclines and as a tendency to lift, we over came this by putting a working Warn winch on the front for that bit extra weight.

Very impressed with this crawler, capable of very steep inclines, deep water and has excellent suspension and articulation. One build quality issue is that the front and rear panel which hold up the bumpers and body are only attached to the main chassis with 2 screws each! So anyone who buys this should consider building a length of 90° aluminium and cutting it to support the rear and front bumpers, the crawler is excellent otherwise!
This is big! I mean really big but you would know that if you checked the specs which is something I didn't do. Once I got over the sheer size I then had to wait quite a few weeks to test it properly outside thanks to lock-down. Finally got it to some woods at the weekend and this thing is a beast and very capable, especially for the price. Yes it would be nice if it had switchable diffs to make it turn in better but then it would have to cost a lot more. Fantastic!!
The quality and performance for the price is a bit of a revelation and matches other crawler 2-3 times the price. LED lights are a lovely touch. The front/rear chassis plate mounts look worryingly weak but a couple of cheap 15x15mm Aluminium angle bar braces sorts that and lets you boost ground clearance. One of my best buys given the crazy cheap cost.
This piece of kit, purchased for my 11 year old son for Christmas has really surprised both him and myself. Although it's not very fast it makes up for its lack of speed by being very impressive over rough terrain. We have taken it over rough Cornish land, tackling bracken and rocks and with us living on the edge of Dartmoor we have just got back from tackling steep inclines, and muddy, moorland. Nearly 1 hour run on flats, 25 minutes on steep incline runs. Bit more speed would be great.

Ran this car alongside my Outback 2. Although it's top speed is slower than the outback, it climbs & crawls much better. We ran a 5000 Nimh for 1 hour & 40 mins non stop through steep inclines & in a gravel pit without any issues. Very impressed
