These hinge pins are made using 4140 tool steel. hardened and black oxide coated.
WITH SUPER THIN HEAD TO ALLOW FULL STEERING!
We use a 4mm lock nut to secure the pins to ensure that nothing pops out on 1 end and a machined head on the other end.
THIS KIT WILL COMPLETE EITHER THE FRONT OR REAR OF THE TRUCK!
1 TRUCK TAKES 2 KITS TO COMPLETE.
YOU WILL HAVE TO DRILL OUT YOUR HINGE PIN LOCATIONS WITH THE INCLUDED DRILL.
NOTE : These pins are intended for use with the factory plastic parts. If you are going to use these with metal hubs, you will need to either use a 4.1mm drill or just wiggle the drill a little and open the hole up. You cannot put a 4mm pin into a 4mm hole in metal. That's called a press fit.
NOTE: DO NOT OVER TIGHEN 4MM LOCK NUT. LOCK TIGHT IS NOT NEEDED.
XR UPPER REAR IS TIGHT, SOME GUYS ARE DRILLING THRU AND INSTALLING FROM THE FRONT
WE HAVE ALSO FOUND THAT SOME XR TRUCKS DONT HAVE ROOM FOR THE LOCKNUT ON ONE SIDE UPPER REAR (STRANGE)
JUST USE A FLAT NUT AND LOCTITE IF YOUR TRUCK HAS THIS CONDITION.
