The boxy minivan body raised up over monster truck wheels ensure that this R/C van will get attention anywhere you choose to drive it. Use the sides of the van as a canvas to paint your own original designs for the ultimate conversation piece! About the Model:
N.B. The bodyshell is white abs plastic as supplied so paint is needed to finish the model (a full decal sheet is included).

Always wanted the Lunchbox as a kid in the nineties but never had the money or was aloud one. Now I have it its great fun, updated the suspension to have 75mm on front and 85mm on back and just purchased and upgrade on the motor so wheelessss will be had all day long. Just as much fun as it looks. Add a Tamiya Sport Tuned motor for a few extra wheelies without breaking the transmission. Make sure you thread lock the grub screw that positions the pinion onto the motor. That came undone for me on my first trip out, despite doing it up as tightly as I thought was sensible.
Really nice build to do with my daughter over Christmas, and now it's built it's pure Comedy Gold. Were running it on a 2S lipo with the Hobbywing 1060 ESC. Goes pretty much anywhere, takes a beating and just carries on trucking. Great to take on walks as the battery lasts for ages, and if it does run out, quick change and of it goes again, worth getting a cheap waterproof servo then puddles are no issue. Get one!
A barrel of laughs. It's awful to drive, it wheelies everywhere, the steering is awful, the wheels are awful, they tyres are awful, the body is heavy & awkward to mount, the speed controller is awful, the chassis is awful, the instructions are awful. In other words, everything I expected and everything I wanted it to be. If you're of a certain age and look back at this from your childhood, get one its everything you remember! Brilliant.
Looks great when done and was fun to build during quarantine
A fantastic, fun and exponentially tireless RC. Take care to looking at the instructions carefully when you build this! And a recommendation of a quick aftermarket built. The BT6 tube you get, cut 1cm of that and place it on the top of the shocks at the front. It helps with steering and makes your front wheels not look so crooked.

great kit. bought mine more for display rather then to use. every rc collection needs a Lunchbox in it
fun fun fun! great fun to build and pretty straight forward. easy to repair. great for jumps and rolls, pants for turning corners, but that's not the point of a lucnh box!
This truck is fantastic fun, there are a few parts which are weak (namely the gear box springs and body mounts) but there are plenty of well documented mods/fixes which make the truck much better. if tamiya fixed the issues it would be a 5 star truck!

I always wanted 1 of these when I was a kid but it never happened - now Ive got 3 boys and they have 1 each and love them! They handle like a brick but pop wheelies for fun and are excellent VFM to get into the hobby. The only weak point so far are the axle springs but there are a few mods on the net to eliminate using these. Highly recommended!!
This was the first RC I ever built, back in 1987 when it was first released. Now in 2011 I've just had the pleasure of building another one of these beauties again! A great, fun model. Pretty nippy, but very bouncy with the standard shocks. Don't forget to fit bearings when you first build it too. The only issue I had was one of the holes in the gearbox wasn't formed properly so the thread stripped the moment I screwed it together. Other than that, it's well worth the money! Cheers, Justin
