For the price a great upgrade that doesn’t destroy the gears but gives you a real speed upgrade and for the price it’s a mush and sometimes the only option to increase your fun.
Perfect hop up for a lunchbox, on 2s is just about perfect
Fast & smooth and definitely worth considering as a good upgrade from a standard motor.
Works well in a Tamiya Lunchbox and perks it up without risking straining any of the standard components.
I've used these Sport Tuned motors for years. It should definitely be one of the first hop-ups you consider if you're thinking about upgrading your stock motor. Big improvements to acceleration AND top speed on my road cars, and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a decent motor upgrade on a small budget. Works best with a ball bearing upgrade! Cheap enough to buy a spare or two as well!

Great adds a bit of umph to my vintage Fighter Buggy RX. Noticeable speed update, and along with the ESC that I recently replaced a great upgrade to my Electric RC car.
Very good performing and great value motor! Not light speed but a good reasonable speed and enough torque, plus reliable too is what you get from this smart looking little Tamiya motor is my verdict! Lots better then the standard kit 540! A great motor if you want to have more performance but still want to keep to a budget! and of course its Tamiya quality too! Great motor, and surprisingly quiet. Not the biggest speed boost in the world, but it's perfect for my Tamiya Brat (re-release)with it's vintage gearbox, and I would assume this is also a good upgrade for any other vintage Tamiya's as well.
