The Grasshopper II is one of Tamiya's iconic radio control car kits from the late 1980's. It was an enhanced follow up release to the original Grasshopper kit. This re-release (2017) kit features a number of updates while keeping largely faithful to the original model. Its streamlined construction process makes this kit perfect for less experienced users and R/C veterans alike, while separately sold option parts can be used to enhance the model.
1/10 scale R/C assembly kit
N.B. For fitment of a 540 size motor an 18 tooth 32DP pinion gear is required.
Great little beginners car, not too tricky to build and really throws you back to the late 80s. I bought this car to use with my 5 and 8 year old children and they love it. We collectively agreed that the standard motor is a bit dull and underpowered. We have since upgraded to a Tamiya Sport Tuned motor and the Hopper now has a new lease of life, highly recommended!
