Supervision is more than tending to schedules, checking documentation, and reviewing cases. Supervisors are in the unique position to assist clinicians in their ongoing skill development. Adopting the concept of deliberate practice, supervisors can help clinicians implement clinical skills that may lead to better outcomes for the people they serve.
These interactive sessions will guide participants in exploring current practices, focusing on skill practice to enhance supervision, and incorporating routine feedback for specific skills. Participants will practice using real- and case-examples to examine managing feedback, difficult situations, and personal differences.
Every Tuesday, October 28 – December 16, 2025 from 2:00 – 3:30 pm MT / 3:00 – 4:30 pm CT (skipping the Veterans Day observed holiday and the week of Thanksgiving)
The first 40 registrants will receive a Mountain Plains ATTC waiver that covers the entire $350 cost of participation. Once the 40 spots have been filled, registration will be closed. Due to limited enrollment, if you cannot commit to the full requirements, please defer this opportunity to others. Registration is not transferable to another person.
Please note: Registrants enrolled in this series are required to attend the orientation and first session. If you cannot attend these sessions, you will forfeit your space in the series. In addition, it is expected that participants will have access to the appropriate technology by the Week 1 session in order to fully participate and be on camera at least 90% of the time. This is not a webinar series and active participation to gain/improve skills are required.
The series has been approved for a total of 13.5 contact hours (12.5-hours content instruction/participation and 1-hour orientation session) through the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC) and approved by CASAT, School of Public Health, University of Nevada, Reno, as a NAADAC Approved Education Provider, for 13.5 CEUs. NAADAC Provider #98165. CASAT is responsible for all aspects of its programming. This series applies to the following Counselor Skill Groups as defined by NAADAC: Legal, Ethical, and Professional Development. No credit will be awarded for non-attendance or partial attendance.
The knowledge and skills learned should be applied within the framework of any applicable Operating and/or Credentialing regulations in your State of practice.
