Among the veterinary cases handled during the month was an incident involving a massive male crocodile in the Mara River, which had a spear lodged in its back ( read the full account of this treatment ), as well as attending to a speared giraffe and eland. The Mara Vet Unit also treated an elephant for an arrow wound, with other cases including 3 lion treatments for natural causes, and the removal of a tight cloth from a young giraffe’s neck.
