Some of the veterinary cases attended to include treatment of 3 elephants for natural causes, de-collaring 1 elephant, rescue of a juvenile elephant and 2 post-mortems, one of which was related to HWC. The Unit treated a lioness at Isiolo for fight wounds, but it did not survive and investigated the deaths of hippos in the Abedares. The Unit also assisted the Mt Kenya Wildlife Conservancy with relocation and treatment of several endangered bongo.
