Patients varied from elephants and rhinos to zebras and bongos. Cases included treatment on Mpala Ranch of a one-year-old elephant calf suffering from a bullet injury, while an elephant calf within Ol Pejeta Conservancy required assistance having become entangled in a wire snare. Both calves were successfully treated and reunited with their respective mothers. Treatment was given to a female bongo with poor body condition, likely the result of a parasite infestation, while the KWS Vet heading the team performed surgery on an adult male common zebra to remove a painful cancerous growth. At the Solio Rhino Sanctuary, a follow-up treatment was provided to a young white rhino recovering from injuries sustained in conflict with another rhino.
