The Unit attended to the snaring of a hyena near Voi town and snared zebras in Lamu and Mgeno ranch. A former orphan elephant, rescued and raised by the SWT and living wild in Tsavo East National Park, was treated for lion attack injuries, but sadly succumbed at a later date. Seven elephant bulls causing damage to water infrastructure in the Ngulia Rhino sanctuary were translocated to Tsavo West National Park . An orphaned elephant was rescued from Lualenyi ranch, Tsavo while autopsies were performed on an elephant bull and a giraffe in Tsavo West and Borabora Conservancy respectively.
