During the month of June, the SWT/KWS Tsavo Mobile Veterinary Unit attended to three separate snaring cases, involving two elephants and a female waterbuck. In addition, two elephants were treated for lameness, and four tracker dogs - being part of the SWT/KWS Canine Unit at Kaluku - received annual checkups, during which they were given prophylactic treatment for trypanosomiasis. Autopsies were conducted on a rhino calf and zebra carcass.
