An innovative method enables control without encoder even for dynamic applications. With CFC open-loop injection control, NORD optimises its drive systems featuring permanent magnet synchronous motors without encoder feedback. The method impresses with its high overload capacity and dynamics.
CFC open-loop injection control can be used to control all NORD permanent magnet synchronous motors. The method is currently available as standard for two frequency inverters. In the future, it will be available for all NORD frequency inverters.
Injection-based speed control is a vector control method that precisely regulates the speed and torque of synchronous motors without requiring an encoder. To identify the rotor position in synchronous motors, current signals are injected into the motor's winding system. The resulting feedback can then be used to reliably determine the rotor's exact position.
