WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.4 Resize Text (Level AA)
People with low vision pinch to zoom on phones to read small text and see details in images. A viewport tag that disables zooming locks them out of reading the page at all. Some themes and "app-like" performance settings still add it.
Who it affects: Keyboard, screen reader and low-vision users — every visitor meets the page title, language, landmarks, keyboard focus, target sizes and zoom settings on every page.
Checked in review mode's Whole page tab: a viewport meta tag with user-scalable=no (or 0), or a maximum-scale below 2.
Remove "user-scalable=no" and any "maximum-scale" below 2 from the viewport meta tag. It usually comes from the theme's header or a performance plugin setting.
