Washington, DC, February 9, 2021 – Today, the National Air Transportation Association (NATA) announced that 396 locations are now NATA Safety 1 st Clean self-certified. The Safety 1 st Clean standard relies upon industry expertise, the latest operational best practices, and government agency guidance to safeguard aviation business personnel, corporate assets, and the general flying public.
“Never has there been a more crucial time to protect the health and safety of our customers, personnel, and the general public,” stated NATA Senior Vice President Ryan Waguespack. “For aviation businesses, our success in those efforts is dependent on an industry-wide adherence to facility cleaning protocols and clear communication. It is imperative for every aviation business across the supply chain to be all-in on demonstrating and communicating heightened standards and protocols.”
The Safety 1 st Clean self-certification process provides Fixed Base Operators (FBOs) an enhanced infectious disease response cleaning standard and allows them to highlight their conformance by displaying the Safety 1 st Clean logo. Upon completing the self-certification checklist, an FBO can send it and other required documentation to [email protected] to receive the Safety 1 st Clean logo.
