In 2016, a certain man came to me in a revelation. He was short in stature — about five feet tall — and his intention was to use a flyer to draw more people into the church system. But the graphic design work for the flyer had been outsourced to an Alfa — a Muslim man skilled in design, but unfamiliar with the spiritual and doctrinal content the flyer required.
Because of the Alfa’s lack of understanding, the final product was riddled with errors. Despite this, the flyer had already been printed and circulated widely.
When the man who had commissioned the work saw what had gone out, he was stunned, disappointed, and completely dismayed. He then brought the damaged document to me. It was marked all over with red ink — corrections, criticisms, highlighting the many mistakes that had gone unnoticed before distribution.
At the time of this revelation, I had just returned from a solo missionary trip to Ghana. The spirit of truth had instructed me to stay inside my dad’s printing press office — which became my home for about three months. It was there, in that space of reflection and service, that I received this man in a revelation.
I looked at the flyer. So much of it was flawed. If all the erroneous parts were to be removed, very little would remain — and what would be left would seem scanty and meaningless.
I was overwhelmed. Still, I took the flyer from him. I didn’t yet know how to begin the correction of this broken document, which was meant to announce the Church to the world.
As the man thanked me in hope that I would correct what errors had already been made and circulated, he walked out of the printing press towards his blue car which he had parked outside, on the road. It was at this point that I knew who he was, the Apostle Paul.
