It was like any normal day. There was no audible trumpet sound to announce it, but the last trumpet had already sounded—and Jesus had come. I watched him visibly descend to the Earth from the heaven, but before he appeared visibly, people were vanishing from the earth, taken up in a sudden ascension. This was his second coming.
I looked around as people all around me were taken upwards, wondering why I was still here, left behind. I saw my wife—also not taken—and Pastor Aliu was here as well. What’s going on here?
My heart ached with desperation as I focused solely on going home with my Master. I walked up to him immediately and began to press him repeatedly, “We belong together. Master, you know I have nothing here on Earth that is truly mine. You are my only true family, and I must go back home with you.” I kept saying such words to him, my whole being filled with desperation as I called to him for help.
He responded, “I will come back for you.” But then he told me the exact reason I was left behind this time—the gospel had not yet been preached by me. I must begin now.
Without hesitation, I swung into action, preaching from place to place. The people around me seemed numb, careless, continuing their lives as if nothing had happened.
Even to my wife and Pastor Aliu, I preached. My life depended on it, so I kept at it with my face lifted up in anticipation—knowing that soon he would return—not just for me, but for all who stand with me.
