Not able to do application logging using log4j

Hi , i have already seen the link in google when i search for the error. But it could not solve it. I have attached the project , because same log4j.properties file is working, for another project. So was wondering what went wrong with the framework_DDF project.
your project didn't work when I tried. it was giving an null pointer exception.
